About this Course

This 10-week course offers simple, practical tools to support your nervous system, reduce stress, and build resilience. Each session includes gentle movement, breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices alongside easy-to-understand empowering education. You’ll learn how to support your nervous system, regulate emotions, and develop sustainable well-being habits in a supportive space.

Course Objectives

  1. Deliver evidence-based education on nervous system functioning

  2. Introduce and practice regulation and restoration techniques

  3. Guide development of personalized self-care strategies

  4. Provide tools for stress and trauma recovery

  5. Create a safe, supportive environment for practice and integration

Each session will begin with a polyvagal-informed nervous system practice/resource. We will then deliver education and practices to support that weeks topic. Each session will include theory and education, practicing nervous system supporting tools, discussion, and q & a to ensure the information is landing and integrating.

**All practices, Q&A sessions, and discussions are entirely optional. Participants are always welcome to engage at their own comfort level, and there is no expectation to participate if they choose not to. Participants are welcome to practice with their video on or off. All boundaries will be fully respected.

Experiential Practices Include

- Trauma-informed somatic movement
- Gentle nervous system regulation exercises
- Vagal toning practices
- Restorative yoga and meditation
- Embodied mindfulness techniques
- Somatic dance and shaking medicine (optional/adapted)

2. Ability to use self-regulation techniques
3. Enhanced capacity for distress tolerance and strengthened window of capacity
