With her passion for sparking freedom in people, Amanda founded SomaPsych in order to share the knowledge and skills she has acquired from years of study and teaching in the mental health and yoga space. Amanda and the incredible SAA facilitators have come together to cocreate online and in person teaching portals, programmes and events, out of their shared passion for sparking freedom in every single person they come into contact with.

SomaPsych brings together science and facts with the power of the subtle energies and internal knowing that we can't quite explain but innately know play a key role in navigating this life.  It's a place for you to learn tools and techniques to make attainable and sustainable changes in your daily life, rewiring old patterns, and beliefs for a more authentic and powerful you. 

 

SomaPsych focuses on integrated wellbeing that supports body, mind and everything in between. By implementing a trauma-informed approach in all that we do, we hold and encourage braver spaces that facilitate curiosity, growth, and transformation for all. We believe in walking alongside people while holding hope as a possibility every step of the way. We offer tools, techniques, and insights for restoration and balance, individual care and exploration, as well as promoting social and systemic change so the collective can evolve and thrive. Just as soma and psyche is the intersection of body, mind, and spirit, SomaPsych is the intersection of the individual and the collective.

Amanda Hanna

Born and raised in Canada, Amanda’s interest in Mental Health started while studying at college where she was able to open a mental health student support centre on campus. As Amanda’s curiosity for mental health developed, so did her interest in the practice and theory behind yoga. You could say this changed Amanda’s life, as it allowed her the space, tools, and knowledge to develop a new relationship with herself. 

‘What else is out there? What don’t I know about? What else can I dive into?’

As a multipassionate and forever-curious individual, Amanda started to bring together all the tools that resonated deeply with her and allowed her to transform. As she combined these tools and teachings, she was able to create a new life for herself. 

With Amanda’s years of experience in Business, Holistic Nutrition, Yoga, Mindfulness, & Neuroscience, she is able to combine her expertise and passion to facilitate an empowering space for personal transformation. 

Amanda has run many workshops and trainings in the traditional and alternative healing spaces over the years combining her knowledge for business, holistic nutrition, yoga and more!                

Now residing in the incredible New Zealand, Amanda runs Yin Yoga Teacher Trainings, Trauma-Informed and Mental Health Trainings both online and offline, as well as offering workshops, retreats, and 1:1 coaching for deep personal transformation.

Talk about an integrative practice, When her intuition isn't guiding her to tell you exactly what you NEED to hear, her brain is sharing with you how to balance your body through nutrition and neuroscience as well as body work.
